Edda Blume tells us:

"I discovered bead weaving in 2002 and since then have been fascinated
by the tangibility of beads, the abundance of colors in seed beads and the
beauty of pearls and semi-precious stones. Working with beads is a tactile
and meditative practice, which I thoroughly enjoy. I can "paint" with beads,
using pictorial elements or abstraction - I can even use photographs as
components of my beadwork.
Just playing with all the beautiful beads in their immense

variety is pure fun, even though or maybe because a piece can take
between 50 and 150 hours to complete."
