1st place.  Wow, what marvelous condition (or at least appears so).  Typical shape… beautiful outline.  A long legged, short coupled hound. Nicely balanced curves front and rear, not exaggerated.  Lovely front assembly with good depth to chest and nice long and strong neck. Could have a bit more forechest.  Flawless on the move.  Lovely straight front and strong rear quarters, that continue to look like they can carry him in the field. His head has such a beautiful wise expression, enhanced by his white whiskers.  A very typical head; strong without coarseness.  A grand gentleman who is deserving of BEST VETERAN.
