1rst Amir Shi'Rayan. Here is a lovely old man of about 11 1/2 years young.  He has very highly set ears on a long, lead head with very large, very dark and expressive eyes.  Considering his age, his pigment is remarkable.  I would give him just a touch more length of neck.  His front is not too wide but could be set just a tiny bit farther back on his body, which would improve his neck set off the shoulder which has good length.  The back is slightly less than horizontal but there is a smooth curve to the topline into the short loin which is slightly arched.  Withers are a touch higher than haunch bones.
The croup falls gently away and is wide, leading to very good breadth of upper and lower thighs.  His hocks are not quite parallel but that could be due to the handler trying to set them too far apart.
He has good depth of chest and the underline is evenly curved into well tucked up flanks even at his age.
His topline improves in movement and his gait looks smooth, supple and covering plenty of ground.  His tail tip is high but since it is properly carried at the base, it does not offend this judge!  His front is moving a bit more powerfully than his rear but again we can forgive that at this age.  His overall balance, proper proportions and strength are still obvious and for this reason he has won the class.  Perhaps, in the photos, he is simply showing his age less than his brother.
 
 

2nd Aswad Shi'Rayan. Litter brother to the above, also shown at about 11 1/2 years.  He also has the super high ear set on a long, lead head with great pigment.  The frontal bones appear to rise more than on the dog above giving the impression of a more distinct stop.  He has very dark, oblique eyes with a “haughty” expression.  He has a lovely length of neck with a pleasing crest flowing from a shoulder which appears could be more oblique.  (In photos it is difficult to see clearly in heavily marked brindles.)  Height to length proportions appear to be within the standard.
He is rather narrower across the chest than I would like for strength but his croup and loin show lovely breadth with good muscle in upper and lower thigh.  His underline is evenly curved into the short loin with good tuck up in the flank.
His topline slopes continually downward from the withers with the haunch bones much lower.  It lacks the harmonious curve and slight arch over the loin. His over angulated rear could be attributed to age as the tendons and muscles begin to lose their strength & the rear sinks.  This would also account for the sloping topline.
Here is another one whose topline appears better moving than standing.  He covers the ground well and the gait appears smooth and supple with nearly ideal foot timing.
