The Amir Trophy
Donated
by the Sloughi Fanciers Association of
America
to the National Oval Track Racing
Association in 2004
awarded to
the BOB Sloughi at the NOTRA Nationals each
year
A
puppy of the first litter born in 1993 at
Shi'Rayân, Amir Shi'Rayân, GRC, FCC
became the first Sloughi Supreme Oval Racing
Champion (SORC).
Amir was tied with his brother Aswad, as
first NOTRA National Champion for the breed
in 1995.
He dominated the oval racing Sloughis by
remaining the highest pointed Sloughi in
NOTRA from 1995 to 2001. He also won
the first ever LGRA race meet, and his
talent in coursing contributed to the
Sloughi’s recognition by ASFA,
in
spite of his insatiable love of
adventure.
He was loved and bred by Dominique Crapon de
Caprona and Bernd Fritzsch.
